The Erasmus+ project officially kicked off with its first meeting held on 27–28 October 2025 at the University of Silesia in Chorzów, Poland. The meeting brought together partners from multiple universities to discuss project objectives, plans, and initial tasks.
Kick-Off Project Meeting in Chorzów, Poland – 27–28 October 2025
The Erasmus+ project officially kicked off with its first meeting held on 27–28 October 2025 at the University of Silesia in Chorzów, Poland. The meeting brought together partners from multiple universities to discuss project objectives, plans, and initial tasks.
Day 1 – 27 October 2025
The meeting started with a welcome by Project Coordinator Dr. hab. Dariusz Kajewski, prof. UŚ, who introduced the University of Silesia, its faculty, and facilities.
Partner introductions followed, with teams presenting their institutions:
- University of Žilina
- VSB – Technical University of Ostrava
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
Key discussions included:
- Project background and objectives: partners reviewed Erasmus+ guidelines and agreed on the project’s main goals.
- Budget: the planned budget and payment schedule were presented and approved. Partnership agreement drafts will be shared shortly, and the first payments will be transferred promptly after signing.
- Reporting: deadlines for reporting were agreed: 10 May 2026, 10 December 2026, and 28 February 2028.
- Dissemination strategy & visual identity: UNIZA will lead dissemination, prepare the project logo, templates, graphics, and website. Partners will share their logos and use their channels for announcements.
- Work packages and evaluation: tasks and timelines were clarified. VSB will manage quality assurance, and partners discussed strategies to ensure at least 50% participation of women in workshops and seminars.
- Risks: initial risk assessment was presented.
The day concluded at 16:00, followed by lunch.
Day 2 – 28 October 2025
Discussions on the second day focused on WP2 – Educational Video Production:
- Video materials will demonstrate experiments for lectures, with historical experiments optional.
- Videos will follow accessibility standards (WCAG), with subtitles in partner languages and English.
- Moodle and YouTube will host all educational content; the project website will share news and updates.
- Scenario templates were updated and shared via Google Drive.
Tasks agreed upon:
- Partners to review and sign agreements.
- Production of pilot videos to begin immediately, following agreed structure, length (4–8 minutes), and accessibility requirements.
- Online follow-up meeting scheduled for January 2026.
- Next in-person meeting planned for Ostrava, Czechia, in April 2026.
The meeting concluded at 15:00 with a summary and QA session.
